This is the first collaboration watch between Seiko 5 Sports and MOONEYES, the US hot rod custom brand which started in 1952.

Hot rods are typically American cars, rebuilt or modified with large engines optimised for speed and acceleration. Prominent in hot rod fashion, lifestyle and culture, MOONEYES sell custom car parts, and host hot rod events.

Crafted in the classic Seiko 5 Sports SKX case shape, the bezel and indices feature a rally style chequered design from the Seiko 5 Sports archives. The watch echoes the drag racing culture in its design – a form of motor racing originated in the United States in which two contestants race from a standing start side by side on a flat straight course or ‘drag strip.’

The MOONEYES logo features across the bright yellow dial. As well as the bracelet, the watch comes with an additional bright nylon strap, featuring the MOONEYES logo. This limited edition comes in a special edition collaboration box.
